As I looked back to my New Year post in 2022, I was discussing about the concept of “nothingbutness” – “a human being is a finite thing, and his freedom is restricted” (Viktor E. Frankl); and the concept of “going beyond doing things to cherish ourselves” but, doing things to “cherish others” (Tibetan Buddhism).

 

In 2022, I was also wondering – If a human being is born to life, but then just existing as a “nothingbutness”, would it be a regret?

 

As Leonardo da Vinci has said – “A beautiful body perishes, but a work of art dies not”.

 

For the last 10 years of being in Ventures and Startup Creation – building – operating – selling – building xxx, I have been questioning – What is that “work of art” for me?

 

Am I chasing an unicorn or creating an army of ants?

 

Why I am doing what I am doing?

 

Am I doing it for money? to survive, or to thrive?

 

Am I doing it to gain fame? to be recognized, or to be remembered?

 

Why I left certain things and my former easy/ fancy life?

 

Why I chose this difficult path?

 

Why am I still committed to it, no matter how hard it is?

 

Are we living our life wholly and consciously?

 

Is there a destined life for us somewhere down the road?

 

Or is there an unconscious level in our brain to encourage us to keep faith and follow our North Star, invent and reinvent our Own Self?

 

And I realize that – “We are Who we’re Becoming”.

 

There is no such destined life waiting for us.

 

Because:

 

“Life is a progress with faith over fear”.

 

“A style of beauty and humor over hardship.”

 

In 2022, I came across this wisdom from Maya Angelou:

 

“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor and some style.”

 

It hit me on both conscious and unconscious levels. It helps me realize that – Hey, I do have my own “work of art” all along. I have built it subconsciously for the last ten years. Just I didn’t realize it.

 

The year 2022 is when I have met many amazing people all over the world – someone I have been friend with for life, someone I met just once, someone I have never met… They pushed me beyond my own limiting belief, doing things that I never thought I would do.

 

Yes – I am creating my own Brand for the next 10 years!

 

“We design our life to make an impact.”

 

“Let’s thrive and make our life a masterpiece!”
